Safe Passage
Tax deductible
Dear Friends and Family,
This February, ten Falmouth High School students will be traveling to Guatemala to spend a week at Safe Passage. Safe Passage’s mission is to empower the poorest, at-risk children of families working in the community of the Guatemala City Garbage Dump, by creating opportunities and fostering dignity through the power of education. They provide education, meals, access to healthcare and many other services to over 600 children and their families, and it was all started by a woman from Yarmouth, Maine. During our week in Guatemala, we will volunteer at the school, help students practice English, run a project for the preschoolers, and meet with the management of the organization to learn how a large non-profit operates. Our group, called a Support Team, will be the first Support Team to visit Safe Passage since March 2020. We are so excited to be part of this experience. Please visit the Safe Passage website if you would like to learn more: www.safepassage.org
We ask you to consider making a tax-deductible donation to Safe Passage, in advance of our trip. Your donation does not go toward the travel expenses; it will go directly to Safe Passage to support their programs. If you feel inspired to contribute, you can do so by clicking the "Donate Now" button.
Thank you for your generosity!
