I am writing this on behalf of my brother in law Bob.

In 2016 Bob was diagnosed with Hepatitis C from which he was cured. Unfortunatley

the cure makes you susceptible to Heptacellular Carcinoma (liver cancer). Bob was

diagnosed with this in 2018. Bob went through 4 Ablation surgeries from 2018 until

2023 when it was decided he could do no more. Late in 2023 the oncologist decided that

chemo/immuno therapy would now be best. This is what he is going through now and will

be for the foreseeable future.

Prior to this happening, in 2007 Bob was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, which he now

has under control with medication, diet and excersize. In 2013 Bob had a major heart

attack which he had to undergo surgery.

The constant illnesses and hospitalizations have been hard on him physically, mentally,

and financially. Although he was able to work throughout covid except for a 3 week period

that he was recovering from surgery. Due to medical reasons Bob was forced to retire

earlier than he would have liked to. The constant travelling for medical appointments and

procedures has eaten all of their savings.

The closest place that he can go for his Labs, MRI's, CT scans, chemo and oncology

appointments are over an hour away.

On Febuary 18th their 2016 Equinox with 315,000km broke down and the cost of the repair

is more than the car is worth. They are in dire need of a reliable vehicle to get them

to and from appointments. This is why I am reaching out for help for them.
