Hi, all. Most of you are aware of the events that happened in March of this year. When my job laid me off, it was completely unexpected since I had to deal with 2 deaths in the family, my friend dying in an accident, another committing suicide and another one having their cancer return. On top of all of that, I was dealing with bouts of SVT and having to wear a Holter monitor to track my heart rhythm. I’ve also undergone multiple lab tests on other things. Then my son got sick. Things were bad. I was on a way too high dose of medication that was prescribed to me that made me delirious and forgetful of who I was, what I was doing and who I was talking to. It was a danger to myself and my son. My family urged me to get off the medication, so I did. I was feeling great for about a month and then was hit with severe withdrawal symptoms. Tried another med to subside it and boom, happened again. I’ve now been managing for almost 3 months with my one medication, self guided meditation, CBT and am getting in therapy. Most of you also know I have a felony on my record. I filed for expungement on October 07, 2024. I am still waiting for a judge to grant it. In the meantime, I am very limited on jobs that allow me to pick my son up from school on time, and his Y-Care is full. So I’m in a pickle. If anyone can offer any help, it would be so appreciated. Once this felony is off my record, I can get back into a $65k-$75k/year job and afford after school care when they have an opening or a babysitter in the meantime. I also have a good tax return coming. I’m just in dire need of help for the next month or two. I’m pulling side gigs when I can, but it’s just not enough.
