I am writing to you on behalf of Mrs. Ruth Alvarez who is in need of our love and support.
My friend Ruth, is a very loving, caring and compassionate person. Ruth has shown love and support to all her family and friends over the years. She is the person you go to whenever you needed a friend or someone to talk to; now Ruth is in dire need of our help and support.
Her family has been dealing with her son’s medical needs since he has born with gastroschisis. Landon is only 6 years old, and he is currently on the transplant list for a small bowel as a Level 1 which are the most severe cases.
In May 2015, Landon had a bleeding in his brain and had to have emergency surgery to remove the clot. Landon came out of the surgery with a great prognosis and her family started moving on with day to day life. On July 26th Ruth’s husband Toni suffered a severe head injury that kept him in the NICU for a month. He is now handicap and in need of care 24/7 involving medications, feedings and hygiene.
He was doing well at home and improving but just a week later on Saturday September 5, he suffered a brain bleed due to medication that landed him back in the NICU.
All this is happening while Landon is still in the hospital after having surgery to re-attach the piece of skull on August 19th, although he is doing great and his recovery was fast he hasn't been able to return home since Ruth is waiting on court orders for a custody battle over Landon that she is also fighting for.
Ruth is the sole provider for her family, she has support from her parents but they are both unemployed. Her husband Toni was newly employed when the accident occurred, so the health insurance was not yet active.
Ruth is strong but she needs a little help. Please help relieve some of the stress by donating a small amount of money on her family’s behalf.
