Help Brett with medical expenses

Hi, my name is Andrea, the wife of Brett Ganther. As many of you know, Brett's cancer has returned (Biphasic synovial sarcoma) and is back worse than before. Initially diagnosed in 2014, we thought we had this cancer beat. He had several surgeries, 25 rounds of radiation and was finally announced cured in December of 2019.

We received the devastating news that they are going to amputate his right dominant hand/lower arm. This procedure gives him the highest percentage of it not coming back. Since we were fortunate enough that it did not spread, we do not want to leave a chance of it coming back a 3rd time and possibly metastasizing. We foresee some pretty significant medical bills between what insurance will not cover and his prosthetic. In regards to the prosthetics, we assume they will only cover the basic necessity. The price of prosthetics can range from the price of a car to the price of a house. I want Brett to have the ability to get the one that he will benefit from the most and feel as normal as possible. Nothing would mean more to him than the ability to play, teach and possibly throw a ball with our 2-year-old, Jackson and continue to be the stepdad he is to our girls, Raeanna and Shayna.

Even given the fact that he's losing his hand, Brett still finds the ability to make jokes. For all of you who know Brett well know him to be very witty, funny, and sarcastic, but also the most loving, caring, selfless, and extremely hardworking person there is. He would literally give the shirt off his back (even if it were his last one) just to help someone else out, it's just the way he is naturally and the way his fantastic family raised him. He has a heart of gold and I am so proud to be his wife; he amazes me every single day! Which makes it even harder to see someone like that go through something like this. However, we are choosing to stay positive, trust in God, knowing he has his hand on this situation. With God on our side, the support from our loving friends and family, we will get through this. We believe, as my mom always says, "this to shall pass"! Brett will have transradial amputation surgery Monday, August 23rd.
