This is (one of Doug's favorite sisters, Shelley). I've been contemplating on what I could do to help Doug in his time of need. Besides loving support & errands, money is also needed for his medical expenses.
For the past 10 years Doug has had vision in only one eye. Doctors are uncertain as to why this occurred. While he did have to adjust to single vision, his lifestyle was normal. A few months ago, he started off to have regular day and with no indication that day turned in to total darkness. Total blindness. So unbelievably scary.
Doug was taken to Wolf Eye Clinic for an emergency surgery. Days passed and still no vision. Doug then had a Retinal Attachment Operation. With that, liquid petroleum was injected into his eye forming a gas ball. Following the operation, Doug was restricted movement for days. As time has passed, his vision is coming back for the one eye. He is scheduled for yet another surgery with many future doctor visits.
I am hoping to end sleepless nights of worry for Doug with your help. Having not worked for months and still unsure if his sight will be returned and kept is unfathomable.
If you are able to contribute money for (one of my favorite brothers), that would be so gracious of you. If not, simply letting Doug know you are thinking of him would keep that old ticker of his ticking and his spirits high! Thank you, so very much.
