Help Christa Sonsire - Cancer Sucks

Hi all, this is Malcolm Sonsire.

Leslie Hughes and I started this fundraiser for my sister, and Leslie's best friend, Christa Sonsire. Christa has high grade neuroendocrine cancer, a rare and aggressive type of cancer. We’ve just learned that the cancer has metastasized and she requires URGENT brain surgery, on 08/05/2021.

For the past three years she has been managing mostly on her own. She has been fighting tirelessly to maintain her quality of life but this cancer requires continuous on-going chemotherapy in addition to other treatments. As she has struggled financially over these past three years, I've always been like, “dude let's do a fundraiser”, but she has always fought me on that, wanting to maintain her privacy and dignity. When I suggested it now, she was like , “fuck it, I'm having brain surgery, might as well!” Now, more than ever, she needs financial support to continue to remain in her home.
