It's Bigger Than Me!

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING!! I am Trammell Woods, Founder and President of Igniting F.L.A.M.E.S.(Fostering Leaders And Mentoring Entrepreneurial Success) Foever. By building relationships, teaching our youth life skills and ensuring they have a chance to become a productive member of society, will play a major role in their success.

A lot of you know me as "Chef T," and owning The Quarters restaurant with my former wife Jade, some of you may know that Jade passed away on July 1, 2019, after losing her battle with cancer.

I have been working diligently to rebuild and continue to pursue the dream I began 10 years ago, and it has not been easy! It has taken a lot of blood, sweat and tears...LITERALLY!

I am currently in the process of acquiring another restaurant, that will be the catalyst in building and growing the 501c3 Igniting F.L.A.M.E.S Foever.

Let me explain, my business will be structured as a Social Purpose Corporation, (S.P.C.). RCW 23.B.25.020 requires that all Social Purpose Corporations carry out their purpose “in a manner intended to promote positive short-term or long-term effects of, or minimize adverse short-term or long-term effects of, the corporation’s activities upon any or all of (1) the corporation’s employees, suppliers, or customers; (2) the local, state, national, or world community; or (3) the environment.”

By structuring the business as such, my "for-profit," will be the foundation for supporting Igniting F.L.A.M.E.S. Foever and will make it possible to create internships, feed those in need, and address issues in our community that directly relate and affect our youth, such as mental health awareness, financial literacy, systemic racism and how to deal with situations in day-to-day life.
