On March 29th, 2025, a beloved family dog, Gypsy was beaten with a metal trailer hitch by her owner's roommate for over four minutes straight. Gypsy suffered a series of severe injuries, including a broken paw, multiple limb fractures, bone contusions, and abdominal bruising. The assailant has been arrested for aggravated animal cruelty; however, Gypsy has a long road to recovery.

The veterinary bills for this vicious attack have been substantial and have placed a great financial burden on Gypsy's owner. Due to the severity of the fractures, Gypsy has had to have her leg re-casted several times to ensure proper healing. She is recovering in good spirits in the care of her loving owner.
