Cody and I have been married for almost 12 years. We both served in Iraq from 4/2003-4/2004. Cody returned to Iraq for a second full year tour 2005-2006 that resulted in several casualties within his company and platoon. He experienced several explosions from IED's, mortars, and rockets which resulted in PTSD. He recently received a letter from his doctor stating that he is a candidate for an emotional support animal. We need help raising money to pay for the training that is required. Giveuspaws.org is a nonprofit organization that trains Service animals for Veterans for free when they have funding. However, due to lack of funding, if he would like a dog sooner rather than later we will need to pay for the training at cost.
This service animal will help Cody to attend more public events with his family and help him to function normally while in crowded noisey public areas that he currently avoids.
Please help support Cody in his efforts to live with PTSD.
