Gymnasts Fight for Coach Denis!
Donation protected
Tragedy struck on December 19, 2018 when gymnastics coach Denis Belikov fell from a ladder while working at his gym. He broke his neck at C-4 and C-5, and suffered massive bruising and injury to his spinal cord. The extent of the damage is not yet known, but he will have a long battle back to health.
This GoFundMe was created by Denis’s gymnastics community, with the hope of providing financial support to Denis, his beautiful wife Maria, and their two young children. The family faces mounting medical bills, and will need help for many months to come.
Denis grew up in Russia, rising to great heights as a gymnast himself – including multiple national and international titles. He has coached at successful gyms in Georgia and Indiana, but recently realized a lifelong dream of owning his own gym in the Chicagoland area. His absence in the gym is felt strongly by his gymnasts who have grown to rely on his calm strength, but most by his family, who is missing their father and husband. He has dedicated his life to two things – his family and gymnastics.
As he lies in a hospital bed fighting for his life, please help us support him. No amount is too small, and we would be grateful for your generosity!
