Our family wanted to share an update and an opportunity to come alongside Chuck Gibson as he begins his recovery journey after experiencing a basal ganglia stroke on October 18th. This type of stroke affects the area of the brain that controls movement and coordination, so his therapy will focus on regaining strength, balance, and mobility.
Chuck spent 6 days in the hospital and has now transitioned to an inpatient rehabilitation facility before continuing therapy at home. We’re incredibly thankful for the excellent medical care he’s received, the progress he’s already making, and the determination he’s showing each day.
Even with insurance coverage, recovery brings its own challenges — from therapy and medical equipment to transportation and other ongoing needs. This page was created simply for friends and family who have asked how they can help to bless them in a tangible way during this season.
Our family has faith and hope in God’s healing power and His comfort in times of need. We know He is present in every part of this process — from the hands of the doctors and therapists to the prayers and encouragement from those around us. We trust that He is working all things together for good and that full recovery is possible through His strength.
We’re deeply grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and generosity. Every message, call, and contribution is a reminder of God’s faithfulness and the love of community. We’ll continue to share updates along the way as Chuck regains strength and independence.
