On Sunday, January 17th, the Schlatter Family lost their 20 year old son AJ, following complications of minor throat surgery.
 
AJ was a tremendous, positive reflection of his tight-knit family. He was hard-working, determined and lived life in the  moment. AJ was a stand-out high school athlete, and had just finished his red-shirt freshman season at Portland State University, where he had earned a scholarship and a starting spot as a linebacker.

The Schlatters are well known and loved within their communities. The family has deep ties in the worlds of volleyball, football and the city of Canby
