Cervical Cancer Treatment

Where to start? I am Gilbert, the husband to my wife Jodie.

In July my wife had abnormal bleeding, she saw a gynecologist. The gynecologist wasn't the greatest as we later found out, he missed a 3cm mass on her cervix even with the transvaginal ultra sound  they performed , caused her to hemorrhage from a culture/smear test, that ended up with an expensive ambulance ride & ER visit. they stopped the bleeding as she was released with no answers. She gave her Gyno the information from the ER and he suggested she go back to see her general practitioner for abnormal vaginal bleeding and he wouldn't give her an answer as to why,  just that she needed to go, it made no sense. We then received a letter from him stating "She was not being compliant and he would no longer treat her".

She was made permanently unemployed due to Covid and I purchased a limited health plan (due to it being mid year), and she had a waiting period to sit through before they covered anything regarding women's health. Fast forward to November... We made an appointment with another gynecologist for when the  eligibility date would kick in, there was still bleeding everyday during the "waiting period" and a few days before it was to be covered, she ended up back in a different ER with bleeding that wouldn't stop. Her new gynecologist, took it upon himself to meet us there and treated her and then they found the mass through another transvaginal ultra sound.

A few days later he wanted to see her and did a biopsy on the mass. After anxiously waiting, the results came back as INVASIVE ADENOCARCINOMA. He immediately set her up with a cancer specialist and we went through options either a Radical Hysterectomy or Chemo-Radiation.  Her specialist would do the Radical Hysterectomy should she decide to go that route. He would like for her to meet with a Radiation Oncologist.  We have had 3  unsuccessful appointments, 2 which were cancelled due to the "health plan" deciding not to cover (even though they were supposedly in network, so we've wasted valuable time in between waiting for said appointment, then making a new one to be cancelled again) to the 3rd appointment now this doctor getting sick and we are now transferred to another doctor that we know little of and on Christmas Eve (if it doesn't get cancelled again). we just need answers to her questions so she  can make the best decision for her, but so far that hasn't happened and time is of the essence.

My wife has worked all her life and has never been unemployed. Up until recently, she has been actively seeking employment but with no luck. She started school in between time to further her education as she doesn't like to sit around and do nothing on top of dealing with this. She was supposed to finish school and  graduate by the end of January but that may not happen due to which ever treatment she has.

She is an active Rotarian and has helped with many of causes (not so much lately given her circumstances) both people and animals throughout most of her life.  We are seeking a better health plan/insurance which again is another added expense. We feel guilty for asking for help and understand that a lot of you are suffering due to this pandemic and the holiday timing isn't the best time to be asking for contributions either. We are not sure what the costs are for either treatment so the amount we entered may increase or decrease.

We thank you in advance with what you can contribute, whether that be donation, names of qualified doctors that would be willing to help for a fraction of the cost, a simple share or a prayer, we are grateful and appreciate it all.
