Hi, I am fundraising on behalf of my friend, Hoot Sanders.

Recently, My friend, Hoot Sanders, is having a really, really, tough time right now. I won't violate their privacy,

but they have chronic health conditions that make it hard to work, but they do anyway. Stress of course, makes this condition worse.

Medical professionals that were supposed to help, screwed them over in an ordeal thats lasted over a year. She lives in

Chicago, so rent is outrageous, and rent assistance is behind.

She's been so resilient through it all, but she suffered a deep blow recently. Her mother is sick and in the hospital for the 5th time this year, and isn't doing well. It hurts me to see my friend in pain, especially around the holidays. All she's asked for is somehow to make it home to help care for her mother, and to have some quality family time, before it's too late.

Despite all this, Hoot is well, a hoot. She's hilarious, creative, talented, caring and I know many of my friends have enjoyed her posts and many talents. She's always been there for me through the years, even if she doesn't realize it (haha).

I've been an absolute idiot to them at times, and she's always been a great sport, and encouraged me during some of my darkest hours, unknown to anybody, even them. It goes without saying that as a two spirit member of the LGBT community, Hoot has done so much to advocate on behalf of POC, and even when she's been down on their luck, she's gone out of her way to offer assistance, always insisting that others receive help first.

Down to details: Hoot needs around $1500, but I've set it to $2000k. $1500 for rent and a bus ticket, but an extra $500 would go a long way to helping ya girl's mental health, plus any expenses related to caring for her mother.

I am trying to help as best I can, but I can't afford it alone. I have donated separately, so I'm not asking others to donate when I haven't.
