Ghost Surgery Fund

This morning our big boy “Ghost” escaped out of our backyard. On any normal day, he usually returns home and greets us at the front door when he realizes that no one is chasing him. Well today was a different story. Unfortunately, he made his way out on Millerville in front of our neighborhood and had been struck by a car around 7:00am that unfortunately ended in a hit and run. We received a call from a kind stranger saying that found him laying in a field and believed his leg had been broken. They kept him company until we were able to reach him. We brought Ghost to AVS to have him examined only to find out heartbreaking news. His femur is completely shattered and his hip has been shifted out of socket. After a stressful morning and several calls to surrounding Veterinary clinics, we found the best place that is able to avoid amputation and save his leg. His surgery will be roughly $4,000. At a time like this during the holiday-season and with a 3 month old at home, this is not something that we were prepared for. We are asking help from family and friends to help Ghost make a full recovery.
