Please help my friend afford her dog's surgery

Recently, my friend Jessi's dog (10 y/o) needed surgery to remove a blockage in their stomach. This unfortunately wiped out all of her savings that she was relying on while she finds a new job. She's currently renting a room that's an extension from the garage at a friend's house, who still lives with her parents. My friend Jessi struggles with depression and anxiety, and her dog is a major comfort to her.

It would be a real blessing and very helpful if she can at least make back what this event has cost her, which was around $3000. With that money, she will be able to afford food for herself and her dog, and be able to pay rent again (homeowners are graciously not forcing her to pay rent during this stressful time). And hopefully soon, be able to find a job for herself.
