My name is Tapumanaia Galu Satele Jr. and I am from the villages of Faleniu, Pava'ia'i and Vailoatai. I am 54yrs of age and am married to Cassandra Fa'asilitama'ita'i Lagafuaina Solaita-Satele of Nuuuli. We have 6 kids and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I have created this fundraising effort for my campaign to serve the people of American Samoa. I have always had a goal to someday be a leader in our government and follow in the footsteps of my grandfather the late Tuanaitau Fa'atamala Tuia and my father Paramount Chief Satele Galu T Satele who both served as Representatives and Senators in our Governments Legislature. I was fortunate to fulfill my goal of being a Representative and served 2 terms in the House as a Representative for the Tualauta District #15 from 2008 to 2012. I have also worked in the American Samoa Government in various capacities of service for over 18years.
My dream and aspirations to become a leader in the government has been realized this year as I have been blessed and honored to be asked to run as the Lt Governor candidate alongside the Honorable Senator Nuanuaolefeagaiga Sao Nua in this years General Elections in November. To run for office at this level its no secret that you must have financial support to fund your campaign efforts. The costs to put together a campaign that needs funding for events, advertising with radio, newspaper, television and social media, billboards, promotional items, brochures, food, donations and more can be overwhelming. I am no millionaire, or a son of one but I am confident in my abilities to lead, I am a fighter, a go getter, a great organizer and planner but most importantly I am genuine and sincere to help those in need and to lead and be the voice of the next generation of leaders. This journey is one that can't be travelled alone. I will need the support of my family, friends and those whom are looking for someone they can trust will serve the interests of everyone and not just those at the top.
As a candidate I assure you that my journey is not for an experience but to win this years elections and become the voice of those who cant speak up and say their frustrations and concerns. I can be the voice of the next generation to present new ideas and solutions. Our slogan to promise a New Vision and a New Direction can only become a reality with your support, faith and confidence that your vote can make a difference.
