I am simply editing here to let them know the amazing progress - and help you all have answers too!
How you are related to the person(s) you are raising funds for- longtime friends and industry cohorts, working alongside each other in the restaurant community for years.
Your transfer plan to get the funds from your GoFundMe to the intended recipient(s)- into a specific account set up solely for GoFundMe funds and cashed out, evenly distributed to an employee list given to us by the HR team of the business who suffered a loss.
We will most likely set up at another venue owned by the team for distribution.
How the funds will be spent- given to those who lost their income so quickly and traumatically, it will be given to them to spend as they need to get back on their feet!
We watched last night as our friends businesses burned while the rain poured down for hours.
it’s time to do what we do and get some funds for these kids who are being displaced in this awful time -
there are 75 employees.
I’ll run this for a week to start to see what we can get going for them and hope to provide some relief.
