Dear Friends,

Stephany, a beloved wife, mother of three, and cherished friend, has recently been diagnosed with stage 2 ovarian cancer. She saw a doctor regarding an abdominal mass and was urgently sent for further testing. Within just a couple of weeks of her initial appointment, she was scheduled for immediate mass removal. Despite the suddenness of everything, she bravely underwent surgery to remove the mass, which included both ovaries (which were both the size of grapefruits), fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, and lymph nodes. Unfortunately, the pathology results revealed an aggressive serous carcinoma. Though the surgery was comprehensive, some microscopic cancer cells remained in her abdomen. Stephany now faces several rounds of chemotherapy over the next five months. She has an uphill battle ahead of her with a long road to recovery.

Stephany isn't just fighting cancer; she's also a dedicated 1st-grade teacher who brings joy and inspiration to her students every day. However, her treatment regimen means she won't be able to work for the foreseeable future. This places a significant financial strain on the Bliss family, transitioning from a two-income household to relying solely on her husband Justin's income, who works full-time as a high school math teacher and holds a second job in the evenings.
