On Thursday December 15,2022 our whole family’s life changed right in front of our eyes. We thought it was typical Thursday but with the excitement of my grandchildren coming out of vacation. Soon as we were winding down I notice something burning. Then two fire inspectors who thankfully were driving by walked in the front door and told me that the house was on fire. Panicking all I could think of was getting all my children out. But our beloved home of almost a decade was gone and we were left homeless. What we thought it was going to be a wonderful Christmas isn’t going to be as jolly as we thought. Since all of our things are gone.

All the presents my grandchildren had under the tree are gone as well. This has been really hard for us because we loved our neighborhood and our home. Three of my grandchildren attend Litel Elementary school that’s just across the street . They have taken It the hardest. They keep questioning when would they go back when is there home going to be built. Unfortunately our beloved home was a lease and the landlord doesn’t want to help us in any form. We are in need of asking our community for help. If you can donate for our family to get up on there feet. It will truly be appreciated. Thank you -Griselda (grandma)
