Unfortunately we did have to put our little girl down. After her surgery she got sepsis and it was too complicated to move forward. We are left with a big bill and no Bella. But we are ultimately at peace with all we did to help her and letting her go.

So, our beloved, healthy dog of 11 years ended up eating a TON of carpet. The morning of Carter & my wedding reception, and in the midst of planning my grandma’s funeral who past a few weeks ago - and we had to rush her to the ER for emergency open stomach surgery to remove it. She stayed in the pet hospital for 4 days. It was expensive as you could imagine. (19k - a very serious amount) But the Dr encouraged us that after her stomach healed, she’d be back to normal. We couldn’t fathom putting a dog down that wasn’t “dying”. So I believe we made the right choice. It was a lot to walk through during such a joyful week, but we chose to trust God and take care of Bella first. We had to act quick because time was of the essence.

We spent a lot on the reception and now this unexpected surgery on top of it… and we are believing God will provide what we need, like He always has. The bill far exceeds what we are asking for on this go fund me page. I’ve never created one of these before. But I felt anything helps.

There is absolutely no pressure at all, we would never want anyone to feel obligated. But if anyone feels led or wants to help with Bella’s medical expenses, we would be so grateful. Your generosity, in any form (even prayers) means the world to us.
