The Bryan family has experienced a devastating loss after a recent fire in the Driftwood community destroyed their home and all of their belongings.

In a matter of moments, Natalie Bryan, a devoted single mother of four, and her children lost everything and are now facing the painful reality of starting over from nothing.

After leaving a domestic violence situation, Natalie spent months in shelters searching for a safe and stable home for her family. When she finally moved into the Driftwood community, she became an active and caring presence, supporting other single mothers, attending her children’s games, and always finding ways to give back.

Her children are well-known, loved, and deeply rooted in the neighbourhood, where they are recognized for their kindness, good manners, resilience, and positive energy.

Three of the Bryan children are actively connected to Back 2 Basickz Youth Support Services, where they are known as resilient, kind, and hardworking young people.

They show up with determination, respect, and a willingness to grow, and they are admired by peers, mentors, and community members alike. This tragedy has deeply impacted the entire family, especially the children, who are now trying to rebuild their lives after losing everything.

The fire was caused by an electrical issue, and the family was unable to save any of their belongings. They were left with nothing to return to and are now facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.

Even through her own struggles, Natalie has always been a pillar of support in her community. She consistently helps other single mothers in any way she can—whether that means transporting their children to and from school, cooking meals for families in need, offering emotional support, or babysitting free of charge so parents can work, rest, or attend appointments. She gives selflessly, often putting others before herself and her own needs.

Now, this strong, giving mother and her children need the community’s support more than ever.
