Hi everyone, my name is Lexi. I’m reaching out today with a very heavy heart to share something that has turned our world upside down this week.

On Monday, my partner Eli had his wallet stolen while at Walmart. Inside was $1,200 in cash—his entire paycheck that he had just cashed and was on his way to deposit. I know it’s a lot of money to carry, but he was simply trying to get our finances in order for the month.

As many of you know, we have a 5-year-old daughter to look after, and like so many families right now, we’ve already been "going through it" lately. This money wasn’t for anything extra; it was specifically for our rent and a car bill that is already overdue. To have it gone in an instant feels like a weight we just can’t carry on our own right now.

I’m the kind of person who never wants anyone to feel obligated to help or feel like they have to pay for our loss. However, a few kind people suggested I start this page, and at this point, we are putting our pride aside for the sake of our family.
