Hope and healing for Angel

Hi, my name is Maricruz Gonzalez and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend (Connie) I’ve known Connie for many years through one of my sisters in Christ and I wanted to help during this difficult time.

Angel was a healthy 21-year old college student at CSULB before he was diagnosed with a rare disease in July 2024 called Hepatitis-associated aplastic anemia (HAAA). Due to his rare diagnosis, he has been in and out of Cedars Sinai hospital at for over the past year with different infections and other critical diagnoses that have affected his organs. In between the hospital and home, Angel has also been receiving on-going blood and platelet transfusions regularly to support his body function for over a year. He received a stem-cell transplant in April 2025 from his brother that required aggressive treatment. Unfortunately, there have been many complications since then. His current visit has landed him in the ICU with internal bleeding and he also suffered from two strokes that have caused brain bleeding. This has left his family and loved ones feeling heavy and heartbroken but we will continue to hold onto God’s promises.
To say that this has been a difficult journey for Angel and his family is an understatement. We would appreciate your prayers and accept any financial donation to help cover on-going costs like food, gas, and other daily necessities.
We thank you again for your support during this difficult time.
