For The Love Of Wyatt

We are the parents of Wyatt, a beautiful boy with so much spirit and heart. We have watched him overcome so many struggles to get to where we are today, but we know we have such a very long road ahead.
This video is our dedication to him; to go to the ends of the earth to help him life the fullest life possible. It is all for the love of our son, Wyatt.
As a parent, there is nothing more precious than the memories you have with your children. First little crawl, then first steps, followed by words which give way to sentences. Those fleeting moments that allow you to teach your children something new, and watching the glow of their faces as they search for your approval. The day that your little one said your name...these are moments that will live forever. Often times, it is hard to look past the sadness that some of these moments are yet to come with Wyatt; we have yet to hear him say Mommy or Daddy, build forts or color or even ask all of the burning questions about the world that are manifested through the eyes of a child. Yet stronger than the sadness is the love for this little guy, and the hope that we will be able to provide him with all of the opportunity to overcome challenges that we can.
Receiving a diagnosis placing him on the severe end of the Autism spectrum, we knew that this was just the beginning of a long road...one that has taken us through medical appointments and interventions, speech therapy, sleepless nights and very tough days. Through patience and prayer, we helped bring a smile back to Wyatt's face. Though he has lost the ability to communicate, we have never given up hope that one day we will be able to hear our son speak. Simple tasks that many take for granted, like eating with utensils or pointing to something desired have also been huge obstacles for Wyatt, and he still struggles with these things even now.
We learned of a treatment that could help sweet Wyatt. This treatment, stem cell therapy, has been used to help children like him and has had success. It is not available in the United States, so we must endure a long journey abroad to Panama so that he may receive this treatment. It comes with great cost, as the travel expenses and price of the treatment are about $20,000. Many families seek multiple treatments as well, so we anticipate the need for additional funds so that Wyatt may get the best possible outcome. We were so lucky that Wyatt was accepted into the program, and that the doctors feel like it can help him. The sooner we can get treatment for Wyatt, the better his chances are for a favorable outcome.
Your donation will go directly toward helping Wyatt receive the treatment he needs.
We are a family just like you...we struggle, we overcome, we are happy yet sometimes sad, often we win yet many times we fail. Every day we aim to do the best we can, and our prayers were answered with the possibility of hope that this treatment brings. Asking for the kindness of strangers to invest in a love of Wyatt, like we have, is no small ask. We are beyond humbled that any of you would be willing to help our family. And if you find it in your heart, we would love it if you would share our story with others. We would be thrilled to update all of you with the positive progress we hope to see after treatment.
To our dearest son, Wyatt: we pledge to always support you in love and guidance, and to never stop fighting to give you all that you deserve.
