Gwen Swinehart was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Friday, October 2nd and will be in the hospital for at least 30 days for the first round of chemotherapy. There will also be additional rounds of chemotherapy treatments, during some of which she will be hospitalized and some of which at home to recover. The overall process is expected to take at least six months. During this time, Gwen will not be able to be employed, nor will she be receiving any income. It is uncertain how much her insurance will cover at this point.
Gwen is an occupational therapy assistant by profession and is one of the kindest souls you could know. She is passionate about helping children, and loving people in general, and is always quick to make new friends all across the country. The spirit of her savior, Jesus, is truly reflected in her work and relationships.
Any amount you can donate will go a long way in helping with her hospital and living expenses during this difficult time. ALL proceeds (after the 5% administration fee from GoFundMe) will go directly to paying Gwen's expenses.
Whether or not you can give financially, you can help through your prayers and thoughts. Please pray for strength and healing. Thank you and God bless.
