Gwennys cancer journey

28.6.2023 our world came crashing down with the news our 16 month old baby girl had a type of kidney cancer, a wilms tumour.

Little Gwenny has had a rough go of it with many hospital admissions, multiple rounds of chemotherapy and most recently a life saving surgery where she was admitted to ICU afterwards.

Gwenny still has a very long road ahead of her. She restarts chemotherapy in less than a week, and we need to constantly be prepared for hospital stays as soon as her temp hits 38 it’s an immediate admission. This all occurs at the children’s hospital which is roughly 2 hours from our home, meaning we aren’t home a lot.

We are trying to raise some money as her father has had to take time off work due to this, mum isn’t working either and everything seems to be falling apart around us. Our washer and dryer on their last legs, rent increase, medications, etc.
