Help me Send my Mommy Gwenneth “Gwen” Smoots off

Hey, my name is Chelsea. Some of y’all might know me as CJ or Babygirl. I never thought I would be in this position, but life has brought me to a moment where I have to ask for help. My mama recently passed away, September 18, 2025, one day before my 30th birthday and my heart is completely broken.

My mama was more than just a parent to me, she was my best friend, my teacher, and my safe place. Her one & only! She was the kind of person who would give her last to someone in need, even if she didn’t have much herself. She taught me strength, love, and resilience, and she always pushed me to keep going, NO MATTER WHAT! If you knew my mama, you knew she was the life of any and every party. My mama loved everybody & everybody loved her. She was a devoted parent, amazing sister & phenomenal friend!

Now that she’s gone, I just want to honor her the way she deserves. I’m trying to raise money to help cover her funeral costs. It’s not a large amount compared to what funerals can cost, but right now it’s more than I can manage alone.

This has been one of the hardest times of my life, and every little bit of support will help me breathe a little easier and focus on saying goodbye. Even if you can’t donate, just sharing this page & keeping me and my family in your prayers would mean so much.
