Gwen's "Girls Who Code" Adventure

Hello, I am Kim Gerasta and I have a dream. Dreams aren't always easy to have. The bigger the dream, the more daunting it is to achieve it. I dream of becoming a Biomedical Engineer. This involves a long journey filled with countless hours of study in multiple subjects. This summer I have a rare oppurtunity to participate in a coding program with "Girls Who Code", at the world headquarters of Pivotal, a software corporation, in Palo Alto. This is an expensive endeavor. I need to provide for myself food, lodging, and transportation for 47 nights away from home in the most expensive real estate area on the planet.

This is a rare opportunity. I originally applied for this program two years ago but had realistic goals of being accepted due to their stringent acceptance policies. So I was surprised when I found out last week that I was finally accepted. I know I have many friends and loved ones who want to see me succeed. I'm asking if you could help support me and my dream. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Upon completing this summer program I hope to start a "Girls Who Code" club with the help of the city for the girls of Stockton.
