Help us support our mom, Gwen, in fight against cancer.

Our mom, Gwen Truss just celebrated her 68th birthday and is in the midst of a second battle with cancer. She battled and beat breast cancer approximately 10 years ago and was thriving until a year ago when she began to have problems swallowing food and water. Doctors discovered a stricture in her throat which over time turned into a cancerous tumor that grew aggressively from the fall of 2023 until now. In March, doctors had to perform a tracheostomy to help her breathe due to the tumor. Given her inability to eat and drink, she's lost a significant amount of weight and muscle which has led to limited mobility. All of this complicates cancer treatment as she needs as much strength as possible to endure it.

Mom is in the fight for her life and requires a team of people to medically assist her with around the clock care as she undergoes chemotherapy and eventually radiation treatment. We are grateful for health insurance, but even with that in place, the financial toll of her care is significant. For us to give her all the care she needs, we would like to invite friends and family to join us in caring for Gwen’s needs while praying for her healing.
