Aloha,
When the Lahaina fires hit West Maui on August 8, 2023, several of our staff lost their homes and all of their belongings, but all survived. All of our staff have been impacted by this disaster and have a long road to recovery.
Many of them came to the Maui Kai to seek shelter during the fire and stayed on to help all of our guests who were trapped in West Maui with no power and no contact with the outside world. All of our staff put our guests first for days, despite their own losses, until they could be safely transported to the airport to return to their homes.
As you may know, the Maui Kai is located on the West side of Maui which has been highly affected and we do not know when it will be fully open to visitors. Until this time please help us help our staff.
All funds raised here will go directly to the staff of Maui Kai!
We are individual condo owners trying to help our Maui Kai family support each other through rebuilding their lives. Please help us ease some of the burden for them.
Mahalo nui loa! Your support is greatly appreciated.
