Please Help - Facing Eviction

Hi, my name is Carlos Rubinstein. I’m a cancer survivor, and I became a widower in 2021, after many years of caring for my high school sweetheart and wife Cheryl.

All our savings went to medical and other bills, and I had sometimes long periods of unemployment when Cheryl needed round-the-clock care, which has hampered my ability to find a position that will pay the bills.

I design training programs to help people do their jobs better, so they can feed their families. I also design websites for primarily POC and women-owned startups in the health care industry. I’m actively interviewing with some good leads, but getting hired takes time that I’ve just run out of.

The property manager has given me until Wednesday, September 20 to pay, or I’ll be evicted, even if I can pay everything later. I just need some help staying in my home.

I’ve already applied for assistance through my county and state, but there's a long waiting list, so there's no telling when or if I will be able to get help from them. I am afraid that I’ll become homeless soon if I don’t figure something out, which is why I’m creating this fundraiser. If you wouldn’t mind even just sharing this, it would mean so much to me!
