My daughter and her family underwent extreme trauma to their lives during the past year. She had been separated from her 4 children and had been fighting really hard to get them back when she had a near fatal car accident in November 2014. Her aorta was torn and had a stent placed in it, two broken ribs, fractured pelvis and spine in two places. After surviving that she developed Tracheal Stenosis which closed her airway and she struggled to breathe after her release from the hospital for about the next 9 months of her life. She was in and out of the emergency room countless times and underwent about 16-18 procedures to try to correct the breathing problem. On September 4, 2015, her body could take no more and she was pronounced dead at 10 pm. My daughter continued to care for her children and fight for them regardless to what she was going through. I have never seen such strength in a person like what she displayed Her two oldest children were placed back into the home one week before she died. She was so happy and so were her girls and I. Her two oldest children remain with their father. Her two youngest girls are with me and I hope to adopt them and keep two of them together. They have never been apart and having them go to non family members would further traumatize them. There was no insurance or savings and I did what I had to do to keep the family together as much as I could. For over a year every other week after work I would travel 3 to 4 hours to pick up the oldest two children to visit with their siblings and their mother. Sometimes we went to the emergency on the average of once a week and when she had surgery or emergencies that could not be handled by the nearest hopsital we had to travel for more than one hour one way to get to the hospital she needed to go to. There was not much my family could do to help me, I put all of my faith in God and did what I needed to do to put my families well-being and health first, but I need help now. I have funeral arrangements and other expenses I incurred while caring for my daughter and her family. I will post where the money goes so that all will know that it was for a good cause. Anything that is given will be great appreciated. No amount is too small when given from the heart.
