Help us pay our mother's medical bills! Our mother, Baila lost her husband four years ago and since then has been staying by her children and grandchildren. She is very healthy and active despite her age and enjoyed being with and visiting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is orginally from Brazil and raised her children there, where she and her husband brought Yiddishkeit to their local community in Brazil. 

In New York she had a playgroup where she took care a of various kids. Parents and kids adore her .

Last year she went back to Brazil to visit family, and unfortunately caught COVID-19 and had to be intubated. After a long month in the hospital she is, B'H, finally home! However, there is a long road of recovery ahead of her. She currently required a lot of physical therapy and medications to help her recovery. These, along with the hospital bills total are more than we can afford. We need your help so that we can properly care for our mother and so that she can get strong and healthy again!
