Robert’s Road To Recovery

Donation protected

Hello Family and Friends,

We Are Starting this GoFundMe in Honor Of Robert Pagan or many who know him as “Coach Robert”, a Friend to Many and to many who consider him a brother, his sense of humor and contagious laugh , some say he is “The Life of The Party”, a Softball Coach and Mentor to many young girls in which he developed many close relationships with and made so many friends along the way. We all know him as funny, always laughing and joking  and always willing to help any of his Family and Friends whenever he could. He loved working hard to provide for his Family whom he loves dearly.

Early Friday Morning on July 19th,
My Sister Jennifer was woken up by a phone call from a nurse at the hospital who informed her that her Husband “Robert” was involved in a very bad car accident and needed to immediately come to the hospital located in Lubbock. One of her worst fear or anyone’s worst fear to ever get that phone call that a loved one was in an accident, her heart sunk to her stomach. Her and the kids grabbed whatever they could and headed to Lubbock to be by Roberts side. Thinking the worst and worried, we all began to PRAY for her and the kids to get to Lubbock safely and PRAY for Robert.  After six and a half long hours they arrived at “Covenant Health Hospital” to find Robert in “ICU” and in bad condition, where he sustained injuries including Left Hip Fracture, Left hand Fracture, Left Ankle Fracture, Left Ankle laceration and Puncture Wound, Right Fracture Of Tibia and Fibia, Multiple burns, cuts and Bruising.

Unconscious he is unable to remember anything of the accident, he lost control of his truck Thursday Evening July 18th, where he was on his way home to the RV park where he resided for work in Artesia, New Mexico,  where he was temporarily working, according to the police report a passerby called police and reported the accident. He was transported to Carlsbad Hospital in New Mexico, but because of the extent of his injuries he was “Airlifted” and transferred to “Covenant Hospital” In Lubbock, where he has been ever since.

On July 22nd Robert underwent multiple surgeries which included Open Reduction and Internal Fixation Of The Right Tibia and Fibia, Left Hip Total Hemiarthroplasty, Left Ankle Irrigation and debridement.  He was then placed with a cast to his left hand and will required to wear a boot to his left ankle for several months. Per Doctor he has a long Road of Recovery Ahead of him. He will require extensive therapy and Rehab here in Lubbock for possibly up to six weeks. With the goal to stand and walk. My sister Jennifer and the kids have not left his side, she has no choice but to go on “FMLA” from her job to help with Robert and be by his side during this difficult time. They will both be out of any income for months to come. I know her being worried about bills, mortgage payments, groceries, kids going back to school, and most of all Medical Bills that continue to rack up daily should be the last of her Worries at this time, but it’s a tough situation they must face. In a blink of an eye anyone’s life and routine can be altered by an accident. Hesitating to ask for help it’s something we know at a difficult time and this “Bump” in the road of their life, is something they Need. We Thank you for any Donation you’d like to contribute, If you can’t donate at this time Your Prayers will be greatly appreciated.

Most of all,
The Pagan Family would like to Thank the many Family and Friends who have reached out by phone calls, text messages and Most of All by PRAYERS!!! God heard each and everyone of your Prayers! The outpouring of Love and Support has been Overwhelming and Touching. They Thank and Love Each and Everyone Of You!!!❤️

Love Robert, Jennifer, Destini, Robert Jr. and Serenity Pagan!
