FOS (Friends of Shelby)

Here we are two years later and our girl is kicking cancer's A$$. This new picture was just taken (photo creds to Michelle Joyce Photography) at Levitate where Shelbs had a 3-day BLAST.

For the last nine months, Shelby has endured larger and larger doses of Chemo to aggressively combat the tumors invading her body. The good news – her most recent scans showed that many tumors shrunk and some … are gone!

This fight does not come without huge challenges and unfortunately the financial burden of medical expenses while on disability are overwhelming.

So FOS team, we’re asking for any additional help you can provide.

This page has been set up to help support Shelby Austin and her family, to help with medical expenses from her fight against stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

In August of 2020 Shelby was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that had spread to her liver, spine and ribs. As you can imagine this came as a shock to her and her family. She has been fighting this cancer with incredible strength and grace. She has maintained a positive fighting spirit that has been a constant source of inspiration to those who know and love her. After completing her initial round of treatments, with success, she began immunotherapy. However, she recently received the devastating news that the cancer has spread to her brain. She is currently receiving intensive radiation to battle these tumors that are impacting her independence and continued fight. Her family’s hardship has been compounded further by Jeff’s recent heart attack. They have had more than their share of medical scares. Although they have tried to continue working during her treatments, it has been hard. The medical bills are beginning to stack up and her cancer has proven to be unrelenting and unforgiving.

We are hoping to help raise money to cover some medical bills so they can focus on Shelby’s continued fight. Anything that is donated is greatly appreciated to help at such a difficult time.
