Greetings and salutations, EVERYONE!

UPDATE:

When I first started this campaign, I was in a pretty dark, desperate place. I didn't know what to do, so I created this, at the advice of a friend. I'm glad that I did. Of course, after having re-read the first write-up that I had, I realized that I came across quite destitute, or plain pitiful, and I apologize for any discomfort or embarassment that I may have caused anyone.

Thanks to the generosity of many of you, I've been able to dig myself out of that rut that I was in quite quickly. Things are TRULY looking up and I'm 100% optimistic about my future. I DO deserve a winning life, so I'm going for it! :-)

I've lowered my fundraising goal from $7500 to $5000. I had a GREAT second interview with an agency I'm really hoping to get to work for and I'm positive that I'll be getting an offer from them very soon. In the meantime, I'm driving Uber everyday and am also awaiting a call from the Smithsonian Museum, for a federal government temp position, that could POSSIBLY become a permanent position, that I may have a shot at thanks to the VA's Compensated
Work Therapy Program. Of course, I continue to submit my resume online to dozens of agencies for a variety of positions.

Well, I WAS caught up on rent for a few days, but now February's is due. I also have one more car payment to catch up on and I'll be good until the end of this month. Again, I'm very hopeful that I'll be back to working full-time soon, so if I can just not have to stress about these two big-ticket items, as well as be able to pay the fines for a couple of speeding tickets that I had acquired, that DOUBLED in amount when I didn't pay the fine on time, I can focus on helping my boys get to their grad school auditions and then helping them relocate to wherever they're going to wind up this summer! Yes, it's still a few months away, but it's right around the corner, too!

I DO desire to take the four of us on a road trip to Montreal and Quebec City this summer, where opera is quite popular. They deserve something like that. Therefore, I'm going to work on making it happen! My bigger dream is to one day be able to help them to go study abroad, at least for a year or so, for I know that in their field, they would only benefit from such an experience, and they are so deserving of that!

Once again, Thank you...thank you...thank you.

I wish you all love, peace and happiness...now and forever, and afterwards.

 Sincerely,
Roland Gutierrez
