Hi my name is Pam, and I recently injured my left knee. I have a torn ACL and a tibial/plateau fracture. I am currently doing PT to strengthen the leg and will have surgery in the end of November. I have to have a bone density test to make sure my bones are not getting weak since I do not have a thyroid. It was removed after thyroid cancer back in 2004! Most of the time the knee fractures happen playing sports or car accidents, not from dancing one song at a wedding reception.

I am applying for short term disability, but still waiting on that and haven’t been able to work.

Now today my one dog I found out has a hip coming out of place and three stones in her bladder. She will be in a splint for a couple of weeks, but if that doesn’t work she will need surgery to repair the hip. The stones in the bladder aren’t causing problems yet, but could get lodged and she would have to have emergency surgery.

She will need to go on a special, expensive dog food for her weight and urinary tract issues.

This is not easy for me, I am very proud, but I am just running out of options right now and I need money. I am trying to sell things to make some money, but that isn’t enough for everything. I know times are tough for all of us, but I pray for whatever help you can give. I pray for each of you in these troubled times and I thank you!
