Our dear friend Mike was diagnosed in late June with stage 3 colorectal cancer. What began as unexplained health struggles turned out to be a tumor that had nearly closed off his passageway and spread into his lymph nodes. The diagnosis was overwhelming. For about six weeks, he was mostly bedridden, lost 25 pounds, and endured unimaginable physical and emotional challenges. Despite it all, Mike has remained positive — facing each day with resilience and hope.

On July 18th, Mike began immunotherapy treatment. He is now three treatments in (out of ten) and, little by little, showing signs of improvement. If the treatment continues to work, the plan is for him to finish in late January or early February. His doctors are hopeful — and so are we.

Everyone who knows Mike knows he is the kind of person who makes others feel seen, supported, and cared for. He’s a devoted friend, a loving husband and father, and someone who has been there for so many of us when we’ve needed help. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden of medical expenses and childcare during this long treatment process. Every donation will go directly toward supporting Mike and his family so they can focus on what matters most: healing and being together.
