Our brother, son and friend Edward Lucas was seriously injured on September 6, 2014. Edward underwent numerous surgeries to repair the damage to his neck and arm. After nearly 1 month in STICU at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston, Edward was moved to TIRR Rehabilitation Hospital on September 29, 2014. Edward made great strides in his recovery while at TIRR, and on October 29, 2014 was relased to come home. Edward still has a very long road to recovery, as he has minimal use of his arms, and no use of his legs at this time. He did not have medical insurance. Ed, Eddie, Lovey, Edward....they are all the same person who has touched each of our lives in different, positive ways. He is loved and cared about by so many. He continues to improve, but the process is very slow. We, as his family, appreicate any help that can be given and thank you for the prayers, well wishes and support while we continue to focus on Edward and his recovery.
