Hello everyone.

As many of you are aware, in April our wonderful Guy suffered a catastrophic neck injury while out in France, fracturing his C6 vertebra.

He has since undergone multiple surgeries to attempt to repair the damage to his spine, which has included taking some bone from his hip to replace the missing vertebra in order to give him the best chance of a full recovery.

While these surgeries have been successful and Guy has begun to regain some movement in his arms and hands, the path to a full recovery remains long, difficult, and full of uncertainty.

We are now beginning the process of repatriating Guy back to England, where he will continue to recover before beginning the rehabilitation process. This process is unfortunately an extremely expensive one, and we are now asking for your support as we look to give him the best possible chance of recovery.

These funds will go towards Guy's outstanding medical bills here in France, the cost of repatriating him back to England, and ensuring he has everything he needs once back in England to support him on his long road to recovery and beyond, including finding him a suitable place to live should he not be able to recover in full.

We wanted to also take this opportunity to thank you all for the messages of love and support - they have been an incredible source of positivity for Guy, and have undoubtedly helped to keep all of our spirits lifted as we navigate this uncertain time.

As you can imagine, this has been the hardest few weeks of our lives, but the strength and courage that Guy has shown in the face of unimaginable adversity has been nothing short of inspirational. If there is anyone capable of overcoming this challenge it is him, and your support will give him the very best chance of doing so.

Robbie - Guy's brother for those who don't know - will be managing the fund on Guy's behalf, and we will all continue to update you as Guy's recovery progresses.
