Guys' Cancer Centre needs your help
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Guy's and St Thomas' Charity and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
One in two people will develop cancer in their lifetime - a shocking statistic which came to life for me when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2018.
Throughout this journey I have had fantastic support from so many colleagues, family and friends, and I can’t thank you enough for helping me get to a major milestone in my battle against cancer.
You will be pleased to know that on Sunday 23 June I will be celebrating coming to the end of six months of chemotherapy!
To mark the occasion, I will be taking part in the Guys' Cancer Survivors' Day Celebration Walk, together with family, friends and hundreds of other cancer survivors like me.
I’ve been very lucky to have been treated at Guys' Cancer Centre. This is a special place where cancer survivors and patients have the best possible care and support, all under a single roof where leading clinical cancer research is undertaken.
Guys’ Cancer Centre is expecting the number of patients it treats to increase by 25% in the next 10 years, so it’s more important than ever to be able to fund amazing new equipment, fantastic staff training and innovative research programmes, above and beyond what the NHS can provide.
Any donation that you make will make a huge difference to this worthy cause and will help me celebrate getting one major step closer to returning to health.
More information about Guy's and St Thomas' Charity: Guy's and St Thomas' Charity handles all donations to Guy's, St Thomas' and Evelina London hospitals and supports their fundraising efforts. An independent charitable foundation, it works with the NHS Foundation Trust and other partners to achieve radical, lasting change for people who live, work or are treated in Lambeth and Southwark.
