Anaya is 12 years old, she is Deaf and she is the youngest member of the Guyana Chess Federation and is on the National team that will represent Guyana at the 14th World Chess Olympiad in Chennai, India, from 23rd July to 10th August. The Chess Federation is responsible for her, but her family is responsible for her mother who must go with her, as Anaya is under age. The family is trying to raise funds but they only raised 50 USD so far, the Deaf Association is poor and cannot give much, right now we are asking government and the business community. But it's hard, especially after covid.
Anaya must have coverage for traveling, boarding, and hotel total is $3,600 USD.
Guyana Chess Federation finally supports Anaya to go India this year. It is first time in history. She will represent Guyana and most Deaf Guyanese.
