Help Gustavo Compete in Portugal!
My son Gustavo is a 18-year-old swimmer with Down Syndrome who has been breaking barriers in and out of the pool. He trains with dedication every day and proudly represents the USA Down Syndrome Swimming Team.
This past summer, thanks to your incredible generosity, Gustavo competed at the 2025 Virtus Swimming Championships in Bangkok, Thailand. Representing the United States, he made us so proud by winning:
2nd place in the 50m Butterfly
3rd place in the 200m Butterfly
3rd place in the 100m Freestyle
It was a dream come true and a shining example of what he can accomplish with hard work, determination, and the support of this amazing community.
Now, Gustavo has earned another incredible opportunity—he has qualified to represent the United States at the DSISO 8th European Down Syndrome Swimming Championships in Portugal this October 25, 2025!
To get him there, we need to raise funds to cover:
- Airfare and travel expenses
- Accommodation and meals
- Team fees and competition costs
