On Friday, October 9, 2020 my grandfather, Gustavo Jeremy McDonald, was wrongfully convicted on false allegations of child molestation. This day turned our world upside down and was a shock for our whole family because we all know he is innocent and did NOT do this. Even with testimonials/witnesses showing proof that these allegations stemmed from malicious intentions/ill will and no evidence of these allegations, the system still failed us. My grandfather is a family man and a man of God. He is not a criminal. He has no background and is not a danger to society/others. He is deeply loved by my grandmother/his wife of 57 years, his two daughters and son/In laws, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brother and 3 sisters, nieces/nephews, and his Yorkie. My grandfather is 74 years old with health conditions and heart disease. He has a device implanted in his chest called an ICD that helps his heart function. He's already had heart attacks in the past few weeks. It has been a long, heartbreaking battle for us all.  This is not how he deserves to spend his last years of life for something he did not do.

Please help us prove his innocence. This has impacted our whole family in the worst ways and financially. We need help raising $10,000 for an appeal to give my grandfather a fighting chance. He does not belong behind bars. We have spent thousands of dollars on attorney/court debt and fees, and don't know how we will come up with more. Any donation big or small will make a difference.
