Hi I’m Josias, Gustavo Linarez’s son. My family and i are making this fundraiser to help raise money for our deceased father/husbands burial. My father Gustavo unexpectedly passed away on December 24th leaving us with more questions than answers. My father was a great man who touched the lives of many. He was my hero, anyone who could’ve spent a day with him would’ve known the kind of man he was; the kind of role model he was. He never took a day off in his life, working as hard as he could to provide for his family. Every morning he would wake up before work to say his morning prayers, a time all to his own to reflect on the coming day, and to converse with God. A devout Catholic who never wavered in his faith. He was someone to look up to not only in his unwavering faith, but in his devotion to his family. Whenever he wasn’t working he was spending quality time with his family. Growing up and seeing how gentle he was with my mother, how much he cared for her and always made sure she was comfortable; that is the type of person i aspire to be. Him and my mom even had a YouTube channel where they would go out into the desert with their little dog and record interesting stuff they’d find. He loved his wife more than anything else. He never told his sons no, even when he probably should have. He even led a group of Bible study at the Sacred Heart church for many years, although he’d probably tell you it was a group effort and he wasn’t as much of a leader as anyone else. Anyone who met him can tell you they probably looked up to him in one way or another. Everyone loved Gustavo and we’re all gonna miss him dearly. I know that if heaven is real he’s up there watching us. We plan to use any donations to pay for his funeral & of course anything helps, prayers are more than welcome.
