Gus’s Specialist Costs
As some of you guys on here may or may not know, last week we
lost our stunning handsome chap Gus at just 2 1/2 years old to a
relatively rare and horrible disease called Lymphangiectasia.
A week on and our hurt is slowly (very slowly) going, we now face
the huge task of paying the vets. Let me explain please? When Gus was first referred to the specialist at Lumbry Park in Hampshire
we were asked if we had insurance. We did, but only for £1000.
The option there and then was to either put Gus to sleep without
even attempting to see if we could bring him through this and out
the other end, or, spend money that we simply didn’t have.
Thinking of Gus and only Gus, I made the latter. Therefore, I’m
putting all pride aside and doing what someone close to me
suggested to do, see if a like minded group of people with love for
this beautiful breed could help. We don’t fully know the amount
yet but we believe it’s going to be very close to £7000. Our
thoughts as a family are if we raise just £5 then we are £5 closer to
being able to pay our bill. If we reach our target then it would take a huge burden off of the family. Should we exceed our target then
we would like to donate anything over to a GSP Charity.
As a family we understand that we are all in troubled times
currently so we thank you hugely firstly for reading this
and secondly if you can donate then THANK YOU we are
eternally grateful.
Obviuosly the bill from Lumbry Park would be completely
transparent and available for anyone to view, as would paying the bill and should we exceed our target the amount paid to the
chosen charity.
