Hi, I'm Nova!
I'm a 7-month-old Vizsla puppy with a big heart, a love for adventure, and a little problem I need your help with.
A few months ago, my parents noticed I was limping after playtime. What we hoped was just a minor sprain turned out to be something much more serious. After several vet visits, a general surgeon consult, and a visit with a bone and joint specialist, we learned that I was born with a rare congenital issue: my shoulder joint didn’t form properly (see X-ray attached). That’s why I limp—because my shoulder is basically stuck and can’t move like it should.
After exploring all our options, my care team has recommended a total shoulder replacement—a rare and complex surgery, especially for a puppy like me. But it's my best chance to live a happy, active life.
I’m so lucky to have parents who have been fighting to get me the care I need, even when it’s scary and overwhelming. While there’s still a long road ahead, we’re hopeful. I dream of the day I can run freely again—chasing waves at the beach, hiking mountain trails, and doing zoomies in the living room like I used to.
That’s where you come in. We’re asking for support to help cover the costs of my surgery: the implant, the procedure itself, and the physical therapy that I will need to recover. Any donation, no matter the size, means the world to me and my family. Your kindness will help give me a second chance at a full, pain-free life.
Thank you for being part of my journey. Your support means everything.
With love and puppy kisses,
Nova
