Gus Flaris Funeral and Memorial Fund
Donation protected

Gus Flaris was a father, brother, friend, uncle, companion, avid Cubs fan, jokester, compassionate, and all around loving soul.
He fought an exhausting battle of multiple intestinal infections, diabetes, dialysis, leg and foot amputations, and a recent heart attack with respiratory failure just prior to his passing.
Eric and Stephanie (his children) worked hard to assist him during the years that he required care.
On June 28, Gus lost his battle to the multiple conditions that were causing him so much pain.
Eric and Stephanie were immediately thrown from being devastated about losing their father, to suddenly planning a funeral and memorial service they had no idea would be so involved and costly.
Eric has been a part of my life for the last 15 years, although I never had the pleasure of meeting his father in person.
It has been difficult listening to the sweet and caring person I know ...who always finds a way to be there for everyone whenever he can... To feel like he is all alone with his sister in a situation that any human could relate to in some way. Because of multiple health issues and no life insurance, there are limited funds for funeral costs.
If you feel moved and compelled to donate any amount, please do. Words of encouragement, kindness, or memories of Gus are welcomed and appreciated as well.
Eric Flaris will be designated as the beneficiary of the account to ensure direct access of funds for the funeral and memorial service.
Life is so incredibly short. Love all, harm none.
